Mark is an experienced business attorney focusing his practice in the areas of Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring. His clients benefit from his wide-ranging industry experience representing public and non-public debtor corporations, debtor-in-possession lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, vendors and asset purchasers in bankruptcy and other corporate restructuring matters.
Immediately prior to joining Womble Carlyle, Mark was instrumental in developing active restructuring and debtor practices, where he was critical in preparing debtors for bankruptcy filing and first day, debtor in possession financing and sale hearings. Mark was also previously Corporate Restructuring Counsel at an international law firm where he represented public and non-public corporations primarily before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. In addition to representing debtors, Mark has significant experience representing non-debtor corporations in bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including work on behalf of lenders, secured creditors, unsecured creditors, vendors, and asset purchasers. Mark has also represented official committees of unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases.

Admitted to the bar: Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland. Admitted to practice before the federal district and bankruptcy courts in Delaware and Maryland, the federal district and bankruptcy courts in Delaware and Maryland, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Civic Activities
Mark is an active member of the Delaware community where he has served as guardian ad litem for children and adults in proceedings before the Family Court of the State of Delaware and the Delaware Court of Chancery. He has also represented victims of domestic violence in obtaining and enforcing protection from abuse orders. Mark also serves as an attorney advisor for a local high school Mock Trial team.
