Megan Baer has a wide range of civil litigation experience in state and federal courts across the country and has successfully represented clients at all stages of litigation and conflict resolution. Megan has successfully argued numerous motions in courts across the country and has secured multiple dismissals, including those at the motion to dismiss stage. She has served as first and second chair in a number of trials and has jury trial experience. Megan also has significant mediation and arbitration experience, including representation of clients in large-scale arbitrations before the International Court of Commerce. Her experience extends to a wide range of industries and practices and includes contract disputes, employment law, banking law, torts, product liability and foreclosure actions. 
 
Recently, Megan helped a large automotive manufacturer negotiate a favorable and complex business resolution of a pending arbitration case in which the amount in dispute was more than $100 million. Megan has also served as second chair in a two-week jury trial resulting in a complete defense verdict for a national commercial real estate brokerage. 
 
In addition, Megan has counseled clients with respect to internal corporate investigations, including several involving the Securities and Exchange Commission. For example, she defended the CEO and founder of a global reinsurance company in an SEC investigation and subsequent two week trial of a SEC enforcement action in the Southern District of New York. 
 
Megan previously practiced in Baltimore, Maryland with a large international law firm. Before attending law school, Megan worked for the federal government where she served as a project leader in the fraud, waste, and abuse division of the federal agency that oversees the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
