Rob is a member in the firm’s Real Estate Development Practice Group in its Charlotte office. He regularly represents real estate developers and other businesses in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including land use and zoning issues, acquisitions and dispositions, deal structure (including TIC agreements), development and financing, leasing and general corporate matters. His experience includes working with local city planning officials and city council members on land use, zoning and economic development issues.
He has worked on a broad range of development projects, including commercial and residential condominiums, assisted living facilities, residential subdivisions, shopping centers, medical office buildings, multi-family housing and office and industrial parks. Rob has significant experience representing both landlords and tenants in various lease transactions involving retail, warehouse, industrial and office space.
He is also a member of the firm’s Multi-Family Real Estate Team and has experience representing various apartment complex owners in acquisitions, dispositions and leasing and compliance matters in North Carolina.
In addition, Rob has worked on a broad range of business law issues for privately owned companies. His experience includes negotiating stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers and other similar transactions, general corporate and commercial matters, including the organization and funding of new entities, and commercial contracts.
Rob is actively involved serving on various boards in the community and remains an active Teach for America alum.
