Ryan W. Cagle

Ryan is a member in the firm’s Intellectual Property group, working with clients to develop lucrative patent portfolios in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields. His experience extends across all aspects of patent practice including patent drafting and prosecution, patent opinions, licensing and other contract matters and patent due diligence. He also is experienced in interference proceedings before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. Ryan’s practice particularly focuses on green technology, including energy sources and production, but he also has much experience in the pharmaceutical field as well as chemical compositions, processes, and apparatuses finding application in a wide variety of fields.

Prior to his beginning his legal career, Ryan was a chemical laboratory manager for two years performing research and development in the field of thermo-setting gels for Dowell, a subsidiary of Schlumberger, Ltd., presently the world’s leading supplier of technology, project management and information solutions in the oil and gas industry. Ryan also previously worked as a chemistry instructor at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma and a petroleum engineering technician at Samson Investment Company, a privately held petroleum exploration and production company.
