Lawyer Bio : Tricia Mason, RN, BSN*

*Tricia Mason is not licensed to practice law. Her activities are directly supervised by members of the firm licensed to practice law in the firm’s Winston-Salem office.

 

As Director of Medical Analysis, Tricia Mason oversees FirmLogic’s medical and scientific analysis services. In this capacity, she leads a team of more than 30 nurses and medical transcriptionists to prepare a variety of medically focused, customized, and cost-effective work products.

 

Tricia works directly with clients in planning, developing, and implementing litigation-specific medical work products. In addition, she works with staff to ensure that these work products meet the needs of clients by addressing relevant medical litigation issues, outlining alternative causation theories, defining complex medical lingo, and identifying key missing information.

 

The Medical Analysis Team provides a full range of medical services, from answering simple medical questions to helping solve complex medical defense issues.  To date, Tricia has worked to support litigation throughout the US and internationally for clients in a wide variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, health care, manufacturing, insurance, trucking, and consumer products.

 

Tricia began performing medical analysis in Womble Carlyle’s products liability group in 1993. Before coming to the firm, she worked in clinical practice as a cardiothoracic intensive care nurse at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Tricia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
