Columbia
Womble Carlyle’s Columbia office practices at the intersection of law, business, public policy and politics. Attorneys in the Columbia office regularly counsel clients in matters related to South Carolina state government affairs, and the team’s core practice areas include business litigation, public policy, administrative and regulatory law, constitutional litigation, and campaign finance and election law.
The Columbia office includes the former Chairman of the South Carolina State Election Commission, an experienced business litigator and political law advisor, and a special counsel to South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
Womble Carlyle’s Columbia office was formed in 2012 through a merger with the firm of Hall & Bowers, LLC. The office is located in the historic Lorick House, a Victorian-era mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The team formerly of Hall & Bowers, practices in courts from South Carolina all the way to the United States Supreme Court. They litigate business disputes, constitutional issues, and civil rights cases, and provide counsel to government entities and political candidates. Commercial litigation and public policy matters are at the heart of their practice.
