Deal Boosts Womble Carlyle's Emerging China Practice

The firm’s Guanming Fang helped bring Sany Heavy Industry’s U.S. plant to Georgia
A major Chinese construction equipment maker's announcement Wednesday, (September 12) that it is opening a plant in Peachtree City was a milestone for the emerging China practice of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, the law firm that brokered the deal. In a deal two years in the making, Sany Heavy Industry Co. will launch a $30 million assembly plant in Peachtree Industrial Park.
"It's been a long relationship," said Womble’s Guanming Fang, the firm's lead lawyer on the project.
