Don Lampe Appointed to ABA Leadership Roles

During the American Bar Association Annual Meeting in Atlanta from August 6-10, Don Lampe, a member of the firm's Regulatory, Compliance and Consumer Credit Practice Team within the Capital Markets Practice Group, will be installed as a Vice Chair of the Business Law Section's Consumer Financial Services Committee.

This Committee is one of the ABA's most active, with over 250 members (including many representatives from Firm clients). In other news, Don recently was appointed, as the North Carolina Bar Association's representative, to the the North Carolina Secretary of State's Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act Committee. This Committee will study this important uniform law and advise the Secretary of State and the General Assembly on its passage into law in North Carolina. Don is recognized as one of North Carolina's leading legal authorities on electronic signatures and transactions and is the only private law firm lawyer appointed to this Committee.
