Elizabeth Arias to Lead NCBA’s Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section

RALEIGH, N.C.—Womble Carlyle attorney Elizabeth Arias has been sworn in as the new Chair of the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Arias will serve a one-year term leading one of the largest and most active sections of the N.C. Bar Association. She was sworn in on July 21st at the Section’s Annual Meeting in Kiawah Island, S.C.
 
The Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section, with more than 1,300 current members, sponsors CLE programs and services; publishes The Will and the Way newsletter on substantive legal topics; and helps mold the association's legislative agenda for presentation to the N.C. General Assembly.

Elizabeth Arias provides estate planning and tax advice to clients across the state of North Carolina on a wide variety of issues, including creation and administration of irrevocable trusts, estate and gift tax issues, formation of limited liability companies (LLCs) or family limited partnerships, succession planning for family businesses, and formation of charitable trusts and foundations. Arias also maintains an active fiduciary litigation practice. She practices in Womble Carlyle’s Raleigh office.
