Georgia Power President and CEO Paul Bowers is the keynote speaker at the next edition of the Womble Carlyle Thought Leader Speaker Series, taking place Tuesday, June 21st at Womble Carlyle’s Atlanta office. The presentation will be videocast to other Womble Carlyle offices in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Creating a cheap, clean, plentiful energy supply remains one of the nation’s biggest challenges – one that incorporates the political, business and environmental arenas. Bowers will discuss recent innovations in energy and describe how Georgia Power is working to take on the challenges that lie ahead.

Bowers joined Southern Company, Georgia Power’s parent company in 1979. One of his first, and biggest, challenges as CEO has been leading Georgia Power’s efforts to build the nation’s first new nuclear power facility in 30 years.
