Governor Jim Hunt and Ellen Gregg have been appointed to the Elon University School of Law Advisory Board. The advisory board, which consists of seven members and ten charter members, will help guide Elon University in establishing the new law school in its future development.

The board is chaired by former presidential adviser, David Gergen. Elon University School of Law will open Fall 2006. There will be an inaugural class of 100 students, with projected total enrollment of 300 students by fall 2008. The school will consist of a three floor, 84,000 square-foot facility which will include a multimillion-dollar library collection, courtroom, specialized labs and classrooms, and wireless technology.

Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor will dedicate the new school of law and deliver the address at the school's fall convocation on Tuesday, September 19th.
