Howard Grubbs named to Board of Visitors at Mount St. Mary’s University

GREENVILLE, S.C.—Womble Carlyle attorney Howard Grubbs has been named to the Board of Visitors for the School of Natural Science and Mathematics at Mount St. Mary’s University.
 
The School of Natural Science and Mathematics oversees the following academic departments: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Psychology. Board of Visitors members support the School by:
 
  • Helping to arrange internships, shadowing opportunities, and other experiential learning components;
  • Serving as a resource for students in preparing for admission to professional and graduate schools;
  • Participating in formal meetings on campus to learn about our programs, to
  • Interacting directly with students and faculty and other Board of Visitors members;
  • Acting as a general resource and “sounding board” for the Dean of the School of Natural Science and Mathematics regarding all aspects of the marketing, recruitment and success of the school’s programs.
 
Howard Grubbs is the head of Womble Carlyle’s Life Sciences Industry Group, as well as the firm’s Toxic Tort Environmental Practice Group. He is a 30-year litigation and regulatory lawyer who helps clients resolve environmental law disputes. Grubbs practices in the firm’s Greenville, S.C., office.
