John Hagner Participates in Joint Development Webinar

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Womble Carlyle attorney John Hagner participated in a webinar titled “Making Joint Development Work:  the Federal, Transit Agency and Business Perspective” sponsored by the Federal Transportation Administration, the American Public Transportation Association and the Center for Transit-Oriented Development. 

Participants in the Feb. 7th. Webinar heard different perspectives on transit agencies can make joint development work, including the federal role in facilitating joint development, successful initiatives adapted by various agencies, and insight from a business and legal standpoint on making a project viable. The webinar also highlighted research around joint development and recommendations submitted to the FTA for clarifying existing rules on joint development.
The Webinar was attended by over 200 persons from all over the U.S.  Many worked for transit agencies or were involved in public transportation.
