WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—In this troubled economy, could the United Way of Forsyth County meet its fundraising goals?

Womble Carlyle Managing Member Keith Vaughan certainly heard that question many times during the past year. Vaughan chaired this year’s United Way’s Capital Campaign and the organization set an ambitious $17 million fundraising goal.
