Womble Carlyle political law attorney Larry Norton was interviewed for a Miami Herald story about a Washington lobbyist charged with making illegal campaign contributions.

The federal charges allege that Paul Magliocchetti and his company, PMA Group Inc., funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to Congress members, particularly those closely involved with defense funding.

Norton told the newspaper that he couldn’t recall “a corporate reimbursement case of that scale or even close.” He added the case is likely to fuel public skepticism of special interests and their influence over Congress.
