Recap: Womble Carlyle Attorneys Attend DELVACCA Corporate Counsel Excellence Awards

PHILADELPHIA—Womble Carlyle was well-represented at the DELVACCA 2010 Corporate Counsel Excellence Awards.
Dean Rutley, Mike Busenkell, Chris Douglas, Dave Mazza, David Hamilton and Steve Kortanek all attended the inaugural awards event, which was held at the Union League of Philadelphia. In all, approximately 400 in-house attorneys, corporate executives and outside counsel attended the event.
Presented by the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (DELVACCA), the awards honored outstanding work by in-house corporate attorneys. Several Womble Carlyle clients were recognized at the event. The firm is a Bronze Level sponsor of DELVACCA.
In accepting the Outstanding Chief Legal Officer of the Year Award, Charles Kallenbach, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of Heartland Payment Systems, specifically thanked Womble Carlyle and Dean Rutley for outstanding outside counsel representation. Andy Boczkowski, GlaxoSmithKline Senior Counsel, also was recognized as a finalist for the Outstanding Community Service Award.
