November 15, 2011
WILMINGTON, DEL.—Womble Carlyle attorney Ryan Cicoski has been named to the National Advisory Council of the American Judicature Society.
The purpose of the National Advisory Council is to act as the “eyes and ears” of AJS in the advisor's state. Cicoski joins State Supreme Court Justice Henry duPont Ridgely and Superior Court judges Richard Cooch and Joseph Slights as Delaware’s delegation to the council.
Founded in 1913, the American Judicature Society is an independent, non-partisan, membership organization working nationally to protect the integrity of the American justice system. Members of the AJS include judges, lawyers, and members of the public. The work of AJS focuses primarily on judicial ethics, judicial selection, access to justice, criminal justice reform, and the jury system.
Ryan Cicoski assists clients with a wide range of bankruptcy, insolvency and creditors’ rights issues, primarily representing creditors and creditors’ committees. In addition, Ryan has an active Delaware-based commercial litigation practice, representing clients before the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Superior Court. He practices in Womble Carlyle’s Wilmington, Del., office.
