Sandy Smith Pens Article on International Corporate Governance

ATLANTA—Womble Carlyle attorney Sandy Smith has authored an article entitled “The Globalization of Governance” for the current issue of Corporate Compliance Insights.
 
The article discusses the differences between corporate governance standards in the U.S. and Europe. Smith discusses the economic, cultural and financial differences between the systems, and questions whether or not a unified global governance standard will ever be a reality.
 
Sandy Smith advises boards of directors regarding corporate governance, independent director duties and the fiduciary duties of directors and management. He practices in Womble Carlyle’s Atlanta office.
