Tentative Agreement on Port Labor Strike

Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service Director George Cohen announced a tentative agreement late Friday between the U.S. Maritime Alliance and the International Longshoremen's Association. The deal is subject to agreement on a number of local union issues.
