Todd Sullivan Talks Facebook Lawsuit with Bloomberg Businessweek
July 19, 2010
Womble Carlyle attorney Todd Sullivan is quoted in the July 14th issue of Bloomberg Businessweek in an article about a lawsuit concerning the ownership of Facebook.
A New York Web designer has filed suit claiming he owns 84 percent of the online social media site. While few legal experts give him much chance of success against the $25 billion corporation, he did obtain a temporary restraining order from New York’s Supreme Court freezing the company’s assets.
“We are starting to see more and more lawsuits involving the ownership of ideas and who has the right to commercially benefit from them,” Sullivan told the publication. He said these suits are proliferating because people are becoming increasingly aware of just how valuable an idea, such as Facebook, can be.
Todd Sullivan is a labor and employment attorney with a focus on trade secrets, covenants not to compete and other employee agreements pertaining to confidential company information.
