Womble Carlyle Attorneys Honored By NC Justice and Community Development Center

Womble Carlyle attorneys Reid "Cal" Adams and Garth Gersten were honored at the North Carolina Justice and Community Development Center Defenders of Justice Awards on October 23, 2003 for their forceful and devoted pro bono work to assure access to dental care for low-income children in North Carolina.
Honorees and guests attended an awards banquet at the Exploris Museum in downtown Raleigh.
First presented in 1999, the Defenders of Justice Awards honor those who have made significant to North Carolina's fight against poverty in four areas that reflect the scope of their work:
1) Litigation;
2) Research and Public Policy Development;
3) Public Policy Advocacy; and
4) Grassroots Empowerment/Community Capacity Building
