Womble Carlyle Participates in 2011 Entrepreneur Expo as Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week

LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, MD—The 2011 Entrepreneur Expo is dedicated to promoting and celebrating Maryland's innovation economy. Led by the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), the Entrepreneur Expo will take place on November 14th, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, coinciding with world-wide activities in recognition of the entrepreneurial spirit.

Womble Carlyle Corporate and Securities attorney Karl Knoll, will moderate a public finance panel at the Entrepreneur Expo featuring a discussion on institutional funds available to entrepreneurs via Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED), Maryland Industrial Partnerships Program (MIPS), federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and TEDCO.

The Entrepreneur Expo Leadership Team (EELT) is the coordinating committee for the event and is made up of a consortium of executives and recognized entrepreneurial leaders from 15+ organizations that have a vested interest in Maryland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The attendees of this Maryland entrepreneur conference will consist of seasoned, aspiring, rural,  philanthropic, life-style, urban and more from various industries, plus others with a vested interest in entrepreneurship in Maryland (e.g. investors, economic development organizations, legislators, research universities and federal laboratories).

The full-day agenda for the Entrepreneur Expo conference will cover a variety of programming and multi-format sessions through four programming tracks: Mentoring/Advising, Special Topics, Technology Transfer and Commercialization, and Financing.
