Womble Carlyle South Carolina Attorneys, Practices Make Chambers USA 2011 Rankings

Chambers USA has ranked Womble Carlyle as one of South Carolina’s top law firms in five key practice areas: Banking & Finance, Corporate/M&A, General Commercial Litigation, Labor and Employment and Real Estate. Chambers also gave Nationwide recognition to the firm’s Transportation (Shipping Litigation) practice, which is based in Womble Carlyle’s Charleston office.

Womble Carlyle was recognized in 21 state-specific categories in Delaware; Washington, D.C.; Virginia; North Carolina; South Carolina; and Georgia. The firm also was recognized nationally in the areas of Financial Services Regulation and Transportation (Shipping Litigation). In 2010, Womble Carlyle was ranked in 16 separate practice areas.
Womble Carlyle’s South Carolina presence has been greatly enhanced by the April, 2011, merger with Charleston law firm Buist Moore Smythe McGee, P.A. The merger gives Womble Carlyle more than 70 South Carolina-based attorneys in its Charleston and Greenville offices.
