On Saturday, August 4, the Raleigh and RTP offices joined together in support of Triangle Impact Service Juris Day- a public service day in which members of the Triangle's legal community gathered their volunteer talents to undertake extensive beautification and revitalization of Lions Park and Community Center in Raleigh. Womble Carlyle was the presenting sponsor at this event.

The Womble Team was a crew of 18 in all, and with other friends from the legal community -- nearly 80 volunteers participated in the event as a whole. Given the successful turnout, Service Juris volunteers were able to complete every project given to them by the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department. Tasks involved included repainting the interior of the Lion's Park Community Center and spreading mulch around foliage in the park.

Many thanks to Raleigh attorney Anna McLamb who served on the steering committe and coordinated Triangle Impact Service Juris Day. Also, many thanks to Nadia Aram, Kimberly Brackett-Jones, Ken Carroll, Don Donadio, Kim Justus, Heather Mallard, Bill Matthews, Jon Mize, Jeff Poley, and Nellie Shipley for volunteering their time and energy, and in many cases, for bringing along friends and family to help out, too!
