Womble Carlyle’s Bob Numbers Appointed to State Civil Rights Advisory Committee

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—Womble Carlyle attorney Bob Numbers has been appointed to serve on the North Carolina Advisory Committee of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
The Commission on Civil Rights reports to Congress and the White House on discrimination and denial of equal protection issues. The Commission also investigates complaints alleging that citizens are being deprived of their right to vote by reason of their race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or national origin, or by reason of fraudulent practices.
The North Carolina Advisory Committee is one of 51 state-level committees (including the District of Columbia) that provides the commission with valuable information from their state. Numbers is one of 12 members of the North Carolina Advisory Committee.
Bob Numbers is a business litigator, with a particular focus on representing local government agencies in federal and state courtrooms across North Carolina. Numbers also has experience in alternative dispute resolution and appellate cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He practices in Womble Carlyle’s Winston-Salem and Raleigh offices.
