Frank Monaco Elected to ABI Board of Directors

WILMINGTON, DEL.-Womble Carlyle bankruptcy attorney Frank A. Monaco, Jr., has been elected to the Board of Directors for the American Bankruptcy Institute.

An ABI member since 1990, Monaco is a member of the advisory board for ABI's Mid Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop and co-chairs ABI's Fraud Task Force. He will serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors.

A certified business bankruptcy attorney with more than 25 years of experience, Monaco’s practice consists largely of representing debtors, creditor committees, individual creditors and other interest holders. His bankruptcy experience covers all matters of litigation and transactions, including involuntary petitions, avoidance actions, relief from stay proceedings, trustee motions, sale and purchase of assets, executory contracts and lease issues, post-petition financing, disclosure statements, plan confirmations and representing liquidating trustees and plan administrators in the wind-down of estates. Monaco is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Villanova University School of Law.

Founded in 1982, the American Bankruptcy Institute is the largest multi-disciplinary, nonpartisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency.
