Mark Schamel Appointed to NACDL Committees

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Womble Carlyle White Collar Criminal Defense attorney Mark Schamel has been appointed to serve on both the White Collar Committee and Sentencing Committee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). Both committee appointments are by invitation only and require approval of the NACDL Board of Directors.

Founded in 1958, the NACDL is a professional bar association of criminal defense attorneys. The NACDL numbers more than 40,000 members, including private criminal defense lawyers, public defenders, active U.S. military defense counsel, law professors and judges.

Mark Schamel focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, having represented clients in high-profile cases, both in the Washington, D.C., area and across the United States. He practices in Womble Carlyle’s Washington, D.C., office.
