Sky Woodward and John Sweeney Recognized as Baltimore Best Lawyers

T. Sky Woodward and John Sweeney were recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal on Thursday, November 6, 2008, during the publication's first annual Best Lawyers Celebration. The networking and cocktail reception recognized the Top 250 Lawyers in Maryland who received the honor of Best Lawyers in America 2009.
Sky and John practice in Womble Carlyle's Baltimore office in the Products Liability litigation Practice Group. Sky defends some of the nation's largest multifamily and commercial real estate property owners and management companies. Her practice also encompasses a variety of complex civil litigation matters, including product liability, mass tort, toxic tort litigation and environmental issues. Additionally, Sky has given countless hours of pro bono public service to her community.
John focuses his practice in the areas of product liability and toxic tort litigation. He regularly serves as national counsel developing and executing comprehensive defense strategies in mass tort cases across the country. John is on the board of the Defense Research Institute and has served as chair on the organization's Defense Research Institute's Toxic Tort and Environmental Law Committee.
