August 9, 2011
Public Relations contact: Bruce Buchanan, (336) 728-7027
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Womble Carlyle confirms its commitment to dynamic leadership development and innovative client service with the hiring of former Gallup Organization executive Vandana Allman as the firm’s Chief Leadership and Executive Development Officer.
The increasingly competitive, constantly changing market for legal services demands skilled leadership in constant touch with the needs of corporate clients. Law firm leadership is more important than ever, as firms must adapt to clients’ evolving needs.
Allman is uniquely qualified to provide Womble Carlyle with high-level leadership training and executive coaching. Womble Carlyle is an industry leader in adopting Gallup’s Strengths-Based Leadership and Allman has worked closely with the firm in this process since 2005. Most recently, she played a key role in the development of the firm’s Leadership Womble Program, which identifies and trains new leaders within the firm.
In her new role, Allman will concentrate on leadership development and serve as an executive coach to the firm’s senior leadership group. Her efforts will ensure that Womble Carlyle leaders maximize their talents to benefit clients and team members, and that a steady stream of new leaders is prepared for the future. While her responsibilities will be firm-wide, she will work out of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
Womble Carlyle has long been known as an innovator in providing technology-based solutions to client needs and creating value for clients through alternative fee arrangements. Now, the firm is bringing the same flair for innovation to leadership development.
“Hiring an exceptional talent like Vandana shows that Womble Carlyle is invested in top-quality leadership,” said Womble Carlyle Managing Member Keith Vaughan. “With Vandana’s strategic guidance, we envision Womble Carlyle as having the most effective, savvy, and visionary leadership of any law firm in the country.”
