Womble Carlyle, Molden Holley Partner to Provide Diverse People and Services to Clients
August 1, 2005
Atlanta, GA -- Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC and Molden Holley Fergusson Thompson & Heard, LLC today announced an alliance that will enable each firm to provide its clients with a team of lawyers who are diverse in both culture and areas of legal experience. The two firms will remain separate entities but will work together on matters in the same way that co-counsel lawyers share client work.
A minority-owned law firm in Atlanta, Molden Holley was formed during April of this year and is composed of eight lawyers with large law firm credentials and strong client service experience. Womble Carlyle is one of the country's top 100 law firms with 70 lawyers in its Atlanta office.
The alliance provides the opportunity for both minority-owned businesses and Fortune 500 corporations to work with a minority-owned firm that is now capable of handling even the most complex matters and cases. In addition, Womble Carlyle will be able to exercise its significant presence in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast region for the benefit of clients of both firms. As part of the alliance, the firms will consult with each other on client needs, pursue new business together and participate in co-marketing activities.
"We are delighted to be associated with the outstanding lawyers at Molden Holley," said Keith Vaughan, Womble Carlyle managing member. "The alliance is an important part of Womble Carlyle's established, aggressive diversity initiatives that will enable us to provide our clients with a more diverse team of talented lawyers. Womble Carlyle is firmly committed to better reflecting the demographics of the companies we are serving. We look forward to great success from bringing together these two groups of highly talented and diverse lawyers."
"We at Molden Holley are very impressed with the sincerity and depth of Womble Carlyle's commitment to being a more diverse firm," said Molden Holley Managing Partner Regina Molden. "Having the ability to tap into the resources of a large, full-service business law firm will provide a significant boost to our ability to expand our client base and provide even better client service."
