Womble Carlyle’s Foster Gaillard Named to Charleston Economic Development Board

CHARLESTON, S.C.—Womble Carlyle attorney Foster Gaillard has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Charleston Regional Development Alliance (CRDA), the economic development organization serving the three-county greater Charleston region. He will serve a three-year term on the board.

The CRDA works closely with employers on facility site selection, industrial expansion, economic development data, government relations and other items critical to companies looking to grow or relocate in the Charleston area. The public/private, not-for-profit CRDA also promotes the region’s business, academic and lifestyle strengths worldwide to attract the world’s best companies, entrepreneurs and professional talent.

The CRDA Board of Directors is comprised of senior-level business, academic and governmental leaders.

Foster Gaillard focuses his practice on complex commercial real estate transactions, banking law and business law. Gaillard has extensive experience in representing corporate and individual clients in all aspects of real estate law, including contract negotiations, zoning and land use issues, financing, regulatory matters and closing the transaction. His clients include owners and developers of shopping centers, office buildings, industrial facilities, apartment complexes, hotels, retail and mixed use developments, condominium and planned unit developments. His practice also includes the representation of various banks and other institutional lenders in all aspects of real estate lending and asset-based financing. Gaillard also handles economic development incentive work for new and expanding businesses. He practices in Womble Carlyle’s Charleston office.
