Womble Carlyle’s Jeff Hay to Lead N.C. Chapter of British American Business Council

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Womble Carlyle Corporate & Securities attorney Jeff Hay has been elected President of the British American Business Council’s North Carolina Chapter.
Hay also recently joined the Board of the Charlotte-based European American Business Forum, which is an organization of more than 500 local business executives from firms involved in international trade, manufacturing, services, finance, transportation, communication, and government.
The British American Business Council is the world’s largest transatlantic business network, with 26 chapters and 3,000 member companies, including many of the world's largest multinational corporations, based in major business centers throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The council promotes cross-border trade and investment between these nations, and provides global networking opportunities for its members.
Hay has served on the British-American Business Council North Carolina Chapter Board of Directors since January 2009, and previously served as its Vice President.
Hay’s activities continue Womble Carlyle’s recent history of leadership in international business and legal organizations, including Lex Mundi, the world’s largest association of independent law firms.
Jeff Hay has more than 25 years of experience and is based in Womble Carlyle’s Charlotte office where he represents both private equity investors and US and foreign corporate clients. Hay has also served as in-house general counsel and a member of the board of a privately held consumer products company. This combination of legal and business experience has given him an understanding of corporate operational needs that allows him to help clients make informed business decisions.
